The pearl here had come unstuck from a ring that it was over large for. I put a much smaller pearl on the ring and the ring looks much more in balance. I was asked to make a pendant setting for the pearl as it is a fine specimen with sentimental value The design I created is this flattened oval shape with thick sides so that the pearl is protected from contact. The inside is frosted and the outside bright polished. You can just about see the position of the hallmarks.
