Roman coin mount

Silver ount for Roman CoinCoins of this age are rarely round and you can see this one has been ‘clipped’.  My objective was to have a completely non-destructive mount for the coin.  Behind each of the four clips is a little stud protruding from the ring.  The four studs locate the coin so the clips only need to touch on the coin very lightly to stop it moving forward or backwards.  Bending back two of the triangles of the clips would release the coin if needed.  I created a copper mock up of the coin to minimise handling during the fine-tuning of the mount.
